High Prairie Elks 

The High Prairie Elks is a long standing Benevolent and Protective Order all-Canadian, fraternal organization.  The High Prairie Elks have grown to nearly 90 members and are committed to a Vision of being the most progressive family focused organization in High Prairie, meeting community and member needs and expectations.  They raise funds by holding bingos, operate and manage a Professional Rodeo, as well as operate the bar at both of the Elks Halls for many functions. To find out more about the Elks Halls, click on the link on the Left.  The High Prairie Elks assist many groups including the High Prairie Scouts, Cubs and Beavers, Curling, Grad Classes, The Gordon Buchanan Centre, D.A.R.E, High Prairie Minor Hockey, High Prairie Aquatic Centre, Museum and many others.

Our Membership

The Elks of Canada is the largest, all-Canadian, fraternal organization in Canada with nearly 14,000 members in over 250 locations throughout the country.

Founded in British Columbia on September 26, 1912, and incorporated under an Act of Parliament, May 1913, the Elks motto is “Promoting and Serving Community Needs”.

Service to Others

The Elks are recognized for their service to children with hearing impairments through their national charity, Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children.
